Whitby Enrichment & Co-Curricular Programs (WECCP)

Welcome to Whitby's Enrichment and Co-Curricular Programs (WECCP), offering after school activities for all levels beginning at Primary 2.  Whitby has a strong commitment to educating students both inside and outside the classroom.  Our goal is to meet the needs of your children cognitively, socially, emotionally and physically.  As a community-oriented school, we encourage students to join and participate in a variety of school activities to explore new interests and inspire new friendships.

Our programs are fee-based with a few exceptions.  Beginning with the Spring Session, Mother Tongue Language Classes will be offered to native speakers in Spanish, Russian, Portugese and German at no fee to Primary 2 through ME students. (Please refer to the Spring 2013 WECCP Brochure for a further explanation of this new program.)  At the ME level (grades 3 and 4), music ensembles* and team sports are offered at no fee.  Upper School students are required to take curricular electives, which are detailed in the Spring 2013 Session Brochure.

Three sessions (Fall, Winter and Spring), allow students to make some new choices throughout the year.  (Please note:  Some electives require a full-year commitment).  Our electives are aimed at providing enriching experiences, building on individual interests, and a providing a convenience to families who want an extension to the academic day.

* For those participating in ME Band or the UEMS Concert Band, additional instrumental instruction (fee-based) is required.  Please see the brochure regarding options.
