Plant Life Cycles - Crickweb Interactive activities demonstrate the life cycle of plants, flower anatomy and seed dispersal.
Life Cycles Games and Activities  A nice collection of interactive games.

Grow Up ARkive Education - This interactive learning adventure challenges students to create pictures displaying four different stages of an animal's life-cycle. Students can choose the habitat that the animals come from. Habitats include gardens, cliffs, ponds, and hedgerows (British vocabulary!). Students race the clock to complete the animal in time.

The Children's Butterfly Site This simple site provides brief descriptions of the Life Cycle stages as well as printables.  The beautiful Photograph Gallery provides a wonderful visual for young students. Portions of the site are available in several languages.

Hummer Nest '05 With a powerful zoom lens, this photographer was able to photograph 3 hummingbirds hatch and leave the nest over a 21 day time span. The clear photographs show the various stages of the beginning of life for these little birds. The photographer was able to place a small object, a penny, in the nest once the birds flew away. It provided a real-life connection with the actual size of the birds.

Hams Hall Pond This site includes Interactive sections for students to see and learn about life cycles, food chains and classification. Click on "Life Cycles" for an interactive demonstration of the life cycles of frogs and butterflies. British English.

Butterfly Curricula This web page offers links to lesson plans for butterfly and life cycle units. [Unfortunately, a couple of the lesson ideas are now dead links, but the remaining ones are good.] The lesson plans are user-friendly and geared toward younger children.

Life Cycles From the BBC - This resource gives students hands-on experience with virtual life science experiments. Dissect a flower, make a plant grow using correct amounts of heat, light, and water, classify living things in a woodland habitat, or find out how the heart is affected by varying degrees of physical movement.  Features include interactive quizzes to test for understanding and an audio option on each page - a nice feature for emerging readers.
The Adventures of Herman the Worm University of Illinois - This friendly site offers an introduction to the anatomy and life cycle of worms for elementary students. The text is easy for young folks to read, and the illustrations are great.
Explore Butterflies!  Academy on Natural Sciences - Choose a level to play.  Correct answers are shown after you miss your only chance. Build a "Butterfly Habitat," by adding host plants, nectar plants, and landscaping to your field. Changes in butterfly and moth numbers are in real time in order to understand the ecosystem relationships. Information at the end reviews the butterflies attracted and recommendations for the future.Learn about butterflies and "Climate Change".
Jungle Walk This exciting website features animals of the jungle! There are animal sounds, movie clips, information and more.  Some topics of the lesson plans include animal classification, mammals, life cycles, endangered species and others.  The sounds, movies, clips and lesson plans are free, but there are advertisements. Life cycles are buried within the pages, but animal lovers will enjoy every aspect of the site. This site has some advertising.
