Dear Students and Parents,

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you and your family to Whitby School.  We invite you to explore our website and visit our campus to see why Whitby students are ready for their future. At our school, we look forward to embracing new families and to helping parents and children settle quickly into our international community of learners to make the most of this extraordinary educational opportunity.

Children are the most precious resource in our community and we nurture them by providing the very best education possible, ensuring that the whole child is looked after. At Whitby, this means offering a vibrant, innovative and rigorous program at every level, in accordance with the Montessori philosophy and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years and Middle Years Programs.

Whitby students enthusiastically engage in learning, are inspired by their own discoveries and find there is no limit to what they can achieve. 

Our mission statement identifies the importance we place on inspiring academic excellence, independence and a passion for learning while motivating our students to confidently take action as contributing members of a diverse global community. We achieve this through our academic curriculum along with our extensive co-curricular program, which offers a diverse range of activities related to athletics, the arts and technology. As part of our community of learners, Whitby students experience a warm and welcoming learning environment, gain confidence and explore new challenges with the guidance of our highly skilled, professional and caring teachers.
