Alumni

The newly-formed Whitby Alumni Association is a group of former students, parents and friends who care about Whitby’s future.  The goal of our Alumni Association is to maintain and enhance the connection between Whitby School and our alumni, and to extend the sense of community spirit and commitment beyond the years that students are enrolled at Whitby.  Whitby currently has approximately 650 alumni, 500 of whom we have current contact information. However, we have many more families who have attended Whitby but may not have graduated from Whitby, and we consider you part of our community as well.

A database on alumni, maintained by the Alumni Office, contains contact information to the extent that we have it. Please contact Joan Lynch at 203.869.8464 or email at jlynch@whitbyschool.org if you are an alumnae and wish to access to this database.

What can you do to help the Alumni Office?

Volunteer to serve as a class representative; be a communications link between the Alumni Office and your classmates.

Fundraising for Whitby School is a way to show your appreciation for the special value of your time spent at Whitby.

Attend our Spring Benefit on April 4, 2009 honoring Rich Granoff, nine-year Whitby Board Member including Chair of Buildings & Grounds Committee for six years, and Jack Blessington, Headmaster from 1962 – 1973; the greater the turn-out of alumni, the more fun it will be. Keeping in touch has both social and professional benefits.

"My son is definitely a better high school student because of the experience, education and confidence he acquired at Whitby. Keep up the good work!"
