The Significance of Play

Why is this important?

During the day when a child is given the chance to “play” freely, they are given the chance to practice “real life."  When we step in to protect our children all the time, they don’t learn how to be resilient and work through conflicts.

“Free and unobstructed play is healthy – and in fact – essential for helping children reach social, emotional, and cognitive development milestones, as well as
helping them manage stress and become resilient.”
