Robotic Creations: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

During the Grade 2 Reduce, Reuse, Recycle unit, 2nd graders were introduced to six different robot types, each with a unique feature that sets it apart from the others. After viewing the presentation, our innovators began developing a plan to create a robot that would help the earth in some way. Their initial designs were based on what the robot would be doing and what up-cycled or recycled material they would use to create them.

After a purposeful design process, our engineers began to build their prototype robot. The students began building their robots using various materials and the Makerspace Glowforge to cut out their designs.

Their creations are magnificent and show their referencing of the different types of robots and their own empathy for how they can be a part of a cleaner planet.
