<h1>Alumni </h1>The newly-formed Whitby Alumni Association is a group of former students, parents and friends who care about <place w:st="on"></place><city w:st="on"></city>Whitby’s future. The goal of our Alumni Association is to maintain and enhance the connection between <placename w:st="on"></placename>Whitby <placetype w:st="on"></placetype>School and our alumni, and to extend the sense of community spirit and commitment beyond the years that students are enrolled at <city w:st="on"></city><place w:st="on"></place>Whitby. <city w:st="on"></city><place w:st="on"></place>Whitby currently has approximately 650 alumni, 500 of whom we have current contact information. However, we have many more families who have attended <city w:st="on"></city>Whitby but may not have graduated from <city w:st="on"></city><place w:st="on"></place>Whitby, and we consider you part of our community as well. <p>A database on alumni, maintained by the Alumni Office, contains contact information to the extent that we have it. Please contact Joan Lynch at 203.869.8464 or email at <a href="mailto:jlynch@whitbyschool.org">jlynch@whitbyschool.org</a> if you are an alumnae and wish to access to this database. </p><p><img src="uploaded/photos/Alumni/UN_1960s_crop.jpg" width="524" height="264" /> <br /></p><h3>What can you do to help the Alumni Office? </h3><p style="color: #ff0000"><span style="color: #000000">Volunteer to serve as a class representative; be a communications link between the Alumni Office and your classmates. </span></p><p>Fundraising for <placename w:st="on"></placename>Whitby <placetype w:st="on"></placetype>School is a way to show your appreciation for the special value of your time spent at <city w:st="on"></city><place w:st="on"></place>Whitby. </p><p>Attend our Spring Benefit on April 4, 2009 honoring Rich Granoff, nine-year Whitby Board Member including Chair of Buildings & Grounds Committee for six years, and Jack Blessington, Headmaster from 1962 – 1973; the greater the turn-out of alumni, the more fun it will be. Keeping in touch has both social and professional benefits. </p><p> </p><p><b><a href="page.cfm?p=143"><br /></a></b></p>
